'Intelli' Range

API’s Cash Management Division evolved initially from within the Safe & Vault business. We recognised a growing need in the marketplace for products designed to not only hold cash, but also to provide controls and management of that cash through the use of specialised electronic components and connections to Point of Sale and Back Office systems.

API’s Cash Management Systems have been developed through our close working relationships with some of the country’s leading retailers, banks, fast food and petrol suppliers.

Not content to simply provide these companies with physical security products, we worked on ways to really add value to their businesses. We achieved this through the development of our ‘Intelli’ range of cash management systems.

These systems utilise our conventional safe products to provide the appropriate physical security for cash and then harness the latest cash handling technology to electronically monitor, manage and control the depositing and even dispensing of notes and/or coins. Our Intelli-Safes can automatically check for counterfeit notes before counting and then storing in a tamper evident container. The whole process, from transaction to safe storage, can take place with a degree of accuracy unable to be matched by conventional handling methods, and all within less than 2.5 seconds.

The results are systems that reduce internal shrinkage, deter armed hold ups, significantly reduce costs associated with cash handling, banking and reconciliation, and provide substantial productivity gains, all of which lead to improvements in bottom line and customer service.

Our “Intelli” range of cash management systems are now the standard for operators like Shell, BP, Caltex, Mobil, Woolworths, K-Mart, Village Cinemas, and Hoyts. We have also developed self-service change dispensers and Cash Deposit systems for all the major banks and these are now implemented in branches throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Working with those same Banks we have been able to develop systems that allow your cash to be deposited into an Intelli-Safe in your premises, have that Intelli-Safe communicate to your Bank (using highly secure and encrypted messaging formats) and allow the Bank to provide you with value for that cash, the same day !
What’s more, we are now exporting this world leading technology to new clients throughout the UK, Europe and South East Asia.
