Restricted Keys

Restricted keys form the foundation of most MasterKey systems. A key can be restricted either by patent or registered design. This prevents the manufacture of key blanks by anyone other than the original manufacturer.

An even higher level of security is where the locksmith has a unique or exclusive Restricted key. This means that key blanks for that particular key are not available from anyone other than the specific locksmith. This provides the ultimate in security against unapproved key duplication.
